Choose a Master Page

There are two ways that you can begin to use a Master Page. The first step is to add a page in the Page List that you will use as the Master Page. This page will not be uploaded as a page when you upload to the internet.

Choose a Master Page in one of these two ways:

Use the Set Master Page command

  • Design the page that you want to use as the Master. 
  • Click on the page’s tab to bring the page to the front of the workspace. 
  • Click the Page > Page > Set Master Page command. 
  • The page is now the Master Page. A Master Page icon appears in front of the name in the Page List.  
  • The page’s name changes to Master Page in the Page List.

 

Use the page's right-click menu

  • Design the page that you want to use as the Master.
  • Right-click over the name of the page in the Page List. This displays the right-click menu.
  • Click on Use as Master Page.
  • The page is now the Master Page and a Master Page icon appears in the Page List in front of the page name.
  • The page’s name changes to Master Page in the Page List.

When a page becomes the Master Page, the name automatically changes in the Page List.

 

You can choose to use a Master Page at anytime. Once you choose a page to be the Master Page, you can include or exclude pages, change the page you want to be the Master Page and/or choose to stop using a Master Page.
