What is a background?

Backgrounds are the colors or designs that fill the space behind all of the objects on a page. Backgrounds are made by tiling little squares across the page. These tiles automatically fill the browser regardless of the size of the browser or the website.

Types of Backgrounds

There are two types of backgrounds: solid colored backgrounds and backgrounds with texture or design called graphic backgrounds. Graphic backgrounds can be added from the Backgrounds Gallery or inserted from a file.

Where can you find backgrounds?

  • The Backgrounds Gallery has a variety of different graphic backgrounds that you can drag and drop onto your page.
  • The Colors Background Command in the Page Tab adds a solid colored background to your page.
  • The internet has several free graphic background sites that you can insert into Web Studio.
