Sometimes you want to use a border without a fill. This is useful when you want to outline a text object or create a box as a design feature.

  • Click on Draw Tab>Shapes Group>Rectangle . This places a rectangle shape on the page with the last used fill color. You can also  use rounded rectangle, circle or ellipse.
  • Click on Draw Tab>Borders and Lines Group>Width. Choose the width of the border you want to have.
  • Click on Draw Tab>Colors Group>Line Color. Choose a color for the line.
  • Click on Draw Tab>Colors Group>Fill Color>Transparent. This removes the fill color and leaves you with a border.
