Resize Objects

You can resize most types of objects. The easiest way is to select the object and drag the handles to make the object smaller or larger. If you use the corner handles, the object will get larger or smaller proportionally. You can use the other handles to enlarge or reduce the object in one direction only.

Objects that cannot be resized
Some objects cannot be resized due to the nature of their content. For instance, you can make text objects wider, but not longer than the text within the object. Other objects that cannot be resized are:
Backgrounds cannot be resized since the content of “size” doesn’t apply to backgrounds. HTML Objects can be resized. However, the content of the HTML object will ultimately determine the size when it is previewed or in a browser.

Right click over an object and choose Properties from the Selected Object Menu.
Check the Resample Graphic box prior to resampling. This helps increases the visual quality of the object. Do this if the graphic has not previously been resampled.
To resize non-proportionally, fill in a Height and Width.
To resize proportionally, check the Proportional Resizing box and then fill in a Height or Width.
Resize an object to an exact size
Right click over an object and choose Properties from the menu.
To resize non-proportionally, fill in a Height and Width.
To resize proportionally, check the Proportional Resizing box and then fill in a Height or Width.
Resize objects to each other
The objects are resized to match the size of the first object selected; therefore the selection order is important.
Click on the Page Layout tab.
Select the object you want the other object’s size to become.
Press the Shift key and then select the remaining objects in any order.
Click on the Make Equal>Size, Width or Height commands to resize the objects.
